WILEY, Herbert Robert 84 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at Hospice of Dayton. Herbert was born February 21, 1919, the son of Campbell and Edna Wiley. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a World Rank professional boxer and Golden Gloves Champion. Herbert also was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Kathleen A. Wiley; daughter, Linda; and son, Herbert. Herbert is survived by his children, Sheryl S. (Jeffery) Sipos, Kolleen K. Stone, Diane D. (Doug) Mombell, Mark C. (Ruth) Wiley, Vincent J. (Christine) Wiley, Anthony N. (Kimberly) Wiley, Daniel J. (Monica) Wiley, and Kevin E. Wiley; grandchildren, Doug, Matt, and Brian Sipos, Nick Myers, Katie Redstone, Becky Harrison, Kyle Mombell, John Pett, Lindsay, Sarah, Benjamin, Justin, Nathan, Andrew, Timothy, Nicole, Robert, Brynn, and Jessica Wiley, Robert Roache, Jacob, Eric, and Joseph Wiley, and Jennifer Sims; and 12 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2003 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1440 North Fairfield Road. Interment following mass in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Herbert's memory to Hospice of Dayton.
