Herbert Lenard Nash

Mr. Herbert Lenard Nash aka "Nash" or "Big Nash", departed this life on Friday August 13, 2021 at his residence. He was born August 24, 1966 in Kosciusko, MS to the late Johnnie L. Miller and Bonnie Nash Harrell. He was preceded in death by one brother, Wesley T. Harrell, and resided in Milwaukee, WI until he graduated from Tech High School. After graduating from High School, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy and then moved to Dayton, OH.

He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Renee' Campbell Nash; daughter, Megan R. Nash of New Lebanon, OH; step-daughter, Porsche' R. Kelly of Dayton, OH; brothers, Robert A. Nash (Keya), Milwaukee, WI, John Miller, Federick Miller, Darryl Tate, and Quilton Hall all of Kosciusko, MS; sisters, LaQuisha Harrell Schroeder (David) of Milwaukee, WI, Sharon G. Smith (David) and Cassandra Miller both of Atlanta GA. Granddaughters, Cherrelle and Gabrielle Patrick both of Dayton, OH. Special nieces, Keonna Oglesby, Madyson, Maya Schroeder, all of Milwaukee, WI and Abigale Smith; and nephew Josh Smith, both of Atlanta, GA. Special friends, Curtis LeDent & Thomas Drewing, both of Dayton, OH.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 11:30am-1pm at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. No flowers please. At the conclusion of the visitation, a procession will leave the funeral home to Dayton National Cemetery where the burial service will be held at 2pm Thursday.
