Herbert Arno Mueller, age 89 of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away on December 25, 2020. He was born January 25, 1931 in Clinton, Iowa son of the late Arno and Luise Mueller.
Herb was a loving husband, step father, step grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War Era and was honorably discharged in November 1953. Herb was a member of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio. Also, a longtime member of the Dayton Family Campers, The Miami Valley Unit Airstream Club and the Dayton Liederkranz Turner German Club. Herb was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kettering. Herb enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and World. Herb volunteered at the National Museum of the United States Airforce. Herb had an infectious sense of humor. He enjoyed bringing a smile to others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Herb was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Opal; 2nd wife, Hilda; brothers, Paul and Raymond Mueller; sister, Vernelle Anita Hellwig; step-son, Ricky Kelly; and niece, Pamela.
Herb is survived by his brother, Edgar (Joan) Mueller; step-son, Ed Kelly; step-grandchildren, Nanette (Matt) Touchet and Rob White; step great- grandson, Mathew Touchet; nephews, David (Linda) Mueller, Don Mueller, Dennis (Sue) Mueller, and Bruce Hellwig; nieces, Kathryn Mueller and Paula Lewis; beloved friend, Becky Short; as well as many friends and extended family throughout the US and Germany.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 11:00am at Valley View Memorial Gardens (170 North Valley Road, Xenia, Ohio 45385).
The state of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks will be worn in all public places.
