Henry Johnson

Henry Johnson, 83, of West Carrollton, OH passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday July 23, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Minnie Johnson; 4 sisters and 1 brother. Survivors include his devoted wife, Irene; children, Camille, Cathy, Joan Collins and Stephen (Suzanne) Collins; 1 brother; 2 sisters; and his loving cat, Jasper.

The family would like to bestow a heartfelt thank you to all of his wonderful health care providers. Our thank you goes out to Dr. Alejandro Calvo, Dr. Nilesh Mhaskar, Dr. Chethana Raghupathy, and Dr. Tushar Shah. A special thank you to nurse, Kim Hauser and all the staff of VITAS Hospice for all their loving care and support.

In hopes of furthering medical research and to assist in the training of future doctors, Henry made the decision to donate his body to Wright State School of Medicine.

Memorial service is Thursday July 28, 2011 at 10am at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.

Pastor Doug Surber and Pastor Mark Scroggins are officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice.
