Helen Woods

WOODS, Helen M., age 87, of Dayton, passed away Sat., May 22, 2004 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Vern W. Woods, Sr. in 1984, infant daughter Barbara K. Woods, daughter Sharon Owens, daughter-in-law Lois Woods and granddaughter Trina Lewis. Helen is survived by her 2 sons Vern W. Woods, Jr. and Duane Woods, Sr. (Laura); 5 grandchildren Wanda Blackford (Kevin), Lori Frankart (Randy), Duane Woods, Jr. (Joanne), Shelly Woods and James Owens, Jr. and 14 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and a Daycare provider for Montgomery Co. Children's Services for many years. Helen was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Funeral services 1:30 P.M., Tues., May 25, 2004 at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd. Pastor Charles W. Hemming officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions, if so desired, may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church or Hospice of Dayton in Helen's memory.
