Helen Delores Somuk

Helen Delores Somuk, age 88 of Beavercreek, OH passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021. She was born August 8, 1932 in Ligonier, Pennsylvania to Edward and Mary (Brandt) Shaulis. She married Julius Somuk on February 16, 1950 in Pittsburgh, PA.
Delores is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Julius; her parents; a daughter, Debra A. Henderson; three siblings, Fred, George, and Edna. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara J. (Michael) Thomas and Rosemary (Bobby) Adams; a son, Joseph M. (Donna) Somuk; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Edward and Ronald Shaulis; one sister, Peg (Ken) Caves; and survived by other numerous family and friends.
Delores enjoyed big band dancing with Julius and painting. She enjoyed hosting and attending family parties and get togethers. Delores loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 10 am at St. Luke Catholic Church, North Fairfield Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432. Burial will follow Mass at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek, OH.
