Helen Marie Reese

REESE, Helen Marie "Nannie", age 98 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2017. She was born in Jeffersonville, Ohio to the late William and Mabel McConnaughey. She worked and retired from Cannon Real Estate after many years of loyal service. Nan loved antiquing and spending time with her family. She was very involved with her church, Faith Lutheran Church and was a passionate volunteer for We Care Arts. She was a member of Dayton Victory Chapter #594 of The Ohio Eastern Star for over 65 years. She was a loving, caring, and compassionate woman, who took great pride in her family and all their accomplishments. Nan was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

In addition to her parents, Nan was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Reese; and daughters, Saundra and Rebecca.

Nan leaves behind to cherish her memory, grandchildren, Renee (Tom), Michelle (Bob), Brian (Lisa), Jennifer (Johnny), Mike, Julie (Chris), Jimmy (Sarah); 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; special family friend, Nat; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Nan's Life will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel. The family will greet friends and loved ones for 2 hours prior (11-1pm). Burial to follow service at Koontz Cemetery, Jeffersonville, Ohio. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newcomerdayton.com
