Helen Mae Landreth, age 90 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born June 29, 1934 in Stark, Kentucky the daughter of the late Humphrey and Emma Barker.
Helen lived her life for God and her faith was something to be admired. Her family was also important to her and she loved spending time with them. In her free time, she enjoyed playing various card games, being a homemaker and spending time with her friends. As her children grew older, she was employed and retired from JC Penny.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Landreth and brothers, Harold E Barker and Herbert D Barker.
Helen is survived by her children, Dale (Brenda) Landreth, Sharon (Matt) Bowen, Angela (Chris) Aldrich and Terry (Vicky) Landreth; thirteen grandchildren, Bryan Shane (Nikki) Landreth, Christopher Landreth, Benjamin Landreth, Claire Landreth, Jammie (Erin) Kelly, Natalie (Joe) Allen, Evan Bowen, Eric (Mindy) Aldrich, Kyle (Diana) Aldrich, Karrisa (Justin) Tourtillott, Zachary Chamberlin and Nicholus Landreth; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter and brother, Elbert "Woody" Barker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Helen's honor.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with service to follow at 4:00 pm at Wesleyan Evangelistic Church (2104 Revere Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420). A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens (2835 Flemingsburg Rd, Morehead, KY 40351).
