VEZZA (McDonald), Helen L., age 76, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, September 7, 2009. She was born August 4, 1933 in Greene County. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary American Legion Post 763 in Beavercreek, VFW # 8312 in Beavercreek, and past Grand President of Ohio, and Supreme President of 7th District of Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky of M.O.C.A. Helen retired from the Greene County Sanitation Department in Beavercreek. She is survived by her husband, Hank Vezza; children, Robert (Sherry) Harlow, Debra Kay (Preston) Raplee, Greg (Raelyn) Harlow, and Keri Metz; brother's, Albert "Bud" (Ann) Burden, Doug Burden and Stanley (Renee) Burden; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Sheila Hoag and Sharon Hoag; and numerous nieces, nephews, and her faithful companion Boomer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Burden and Ruth Hoag; step-father, Richard Hoag Sr.; brothers, Richard Hoag Jr. and William "Bill" Hoag; infant sister, Sharon Hoag; one grandson, Christopher Harlow. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 10, 2009 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 11, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Jamestown with Father John Krumm Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church in Jamestown.
