Age 87, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Sanford R. Sexton, in 2005.
Helen is survived by two daughters, Donna & her husband, Donald Gunnoe, and Lynne & her husband, Rick Applegate; five grandchildren: Beth, James, Caryn, David & Jennifer; eleven great-grandchildren: Evan, Aaron, Paige, Mackenzie, Claire, Ella, Hayden, Calvin, Cole, Dominique and Samantha; two sisters: Mattie Daugherty and Berniece (Russell) Siegel; and by her extended family & many good friends.
Helen was a member of the Maryland Avenue Church of the Nazarene. The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Tuesday (10/18) at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Richard Kane officiating. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery, Greenbrier Co., West Virginia.
