Age 92, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Lester L. Funston; two daughters, Suzanne & Margie; one granddaughter, Donna; and by one great granddaughter, Jennifer.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael C. & Glenda M. Whitacre; and by one sister, Evelyn Walden. Helen loved all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great great-grandchildren both by blood & love, and will be missed by all who know and love her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday (8/7), at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. The family will be receiving friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow at Hawker Cemetery, Beavercreek.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Helen to the Disabled American Veterans. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
