Helen "Mamaw" Hudson, 97, of Dayton, passed away on January 13, 2019.
She was born on March 31, 1921 to Dave and Mary (Martin) Lewis in Cornette, Kentucky.
Helen was an avid shopper and collected trinkets, dolls, jewelry, clothes, and many other items over the years. She enjoyed gardening in her yard where she loved to plant flowers. She loved sewing, caring for her parrot Pedro, and spent every free moment taking care of her family. Helen made sure all of her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids never went without.
She married William "B" Hudson and they made Dayton their home. They owned and ran Gay's Café, formerly El Camino, for 23 years in Dayton.
Helen is survived by her loving Grandchildren, Penny, Marty (JoAnn), and Billy (Laura); Great Grandchildren, Jeff (Lindzey), Brandy (Donnie), Chris, Tia, Bobby, Adam, Aimee (Chris), Eric (Beth), Emily, Elizabeth, Andrew, and Waverley; Great Great Grandchildren, Jeff Jr., Matt, Cameron "the baby," Nevaeh, Miracle, Christopher, Donnie, Kayla, Carter, Maddie, Ayla, Kaeson, Ethan, Baylor, Roman, London, Lexxi, Alanna, and Rion; and Great Great Great Grandson, Ky'Mere.
In addition to her Parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, William "B" Hudson; Children, Billy Jean Collins and William Dean Hudson; Granddaughter, Stephanie Dean Hudson; Great Granddaughter, Amber McCoy.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Newcomer South Chapel in Kettering, Ohio.
Funeral services will follow at 10:30 am.
Interment immediately after at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery in Beavercreek.
