Helen C. Daniel

Helen C. (Welch) Daniel, age 83 of Vandalia, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 2, 2024. She was born August 1, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of the late Roy Welch and Laura (Benson) Brest.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Patty and David Graham; in-laws, Joe and Ruth Daniel of Ewing, VA; and sister-in-law, Diane Wharton. 

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Leslie "Les" Daniel; step-sons, Jeff Daniel and Jason (Tami) Daniel; grandchildren, Alexandra (Kyle) Hicks, and Joel Daniel; she also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who affectionately called her "Auntie".

Helen was raised in Old North Dayton, and graduated from Kiser High School. She went on to be a hairdresser, then a respiratory therapist at Grandview Hospital. 

In her spare time Helen enjoyed bowling, reading, and gardening. She never met a stranger. With her magnetic personality and amazing wit you always knew where you stood with her! 

Per Helen's wishes there will be no services. Inurnment location is pending.
