Helen Bruns

Helen F. Bruns, age 79 of Troy, passed away January 11, 2011. She was born April 29, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Donald E. and Myrtle M. Yount. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Bruns; brothers: James Yount and Bill Yount; and sister, Judy Shade.

Helen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Mark and Lori Bruns; grandsons: Chad (Dee Dee Raine) Bruns and Matthew Bruns; step granddaughters: Olivia Swallows and Emma Swallows; great grandson, Landon Bruns; sister, Jean Ruckman; brothers: Charles Yount, Richard Yount and Norman Yount; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Helen was a member of the VFW Post 2800 Stuart Patterson Ladies Auxilliary.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Helen's name to the Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 333 N. Summit Street, P.O. Box 10086, Toledo, Ohio 43699-0086. Helen's family would like to thank the staff at Troy Care and Rehabilitation Center for their love and care to Helen during her time there.
