Helen M. Brooks, 93, of West Carrollton, passed away on October 15, 2017 at Kingston of Miamisburg. She was born on October 7, 1924 to the late Nicholas and Alice (Aken) Spitsieris in Akron, OH.
On February 16th of 1946, she married Albert Brooks. They later made West Carrollton their home. Helen and Albert were very active with the Boyscouts for 50+ years.
She has been a member of the Cornerstone Chapel in West Carrollton since 1970 and served many positions with the church. She would always stop and pray for anyone who asked.
Helen is survived by her children, Paula Beck (Curtis), Arthur Brooks (Carla), and David Brooks (Linda); grandsons, Jason Brooks and Andrew Brooks (Madison); granddaughter, Cassandra Brooks, and great-granddaughter, Alena Brooks.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; twin-sister, Marie; sister, Dorothy, and brother, Ted.
Family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 (TODAY) at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering OH.
A funeral service will be held at 10AM Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the funeral home and burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
