Helen "Spike" Alcorn (Cyphers), age 93 of Dayton, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Sat. Nov. 18, 2017 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. Born June 8, 1924. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Creekmur; father, Clarence Cyphers; brothers, Ira, Everett, Harley, Clarence Jr. Cyphers; sisters, Myrtle Links, Doris LeVeck; great- granddaughter, Kennedy Cantrell.
She leaves behind brother, Dale & Helen Cyphers; daughter & son-in-law, Sharon & Roger Cantrell; grandchildren, Roger, Rebecca Cantrell, Kevin & Heather Cantrell, Melissa Cantrell and Justin Cantrell; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Austin, Bella, Scarlet, Violet, McKenzie Cantrell, Stephanie Howes and Reba Stokes; 1 great great-grandchild, Swayzi Buchanan; special friends at Walnut Creek, Sandy, Earl, Rhonda and Mark, they took wonderful care of my mom.
Spike was an avid bowler and loved to fish. She worked and retired from United Color Press after 30 of service.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-7 PM on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a memorial service will begin at 7 PM.
