Hazel Marie Smiley, Age 83 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on the 12th day of June, 2013.
She was born September 27, 1929 to the late Claude and Agnes (Brinkman) Smiley I. She is also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Wilda and Clarence Hawkins, and brothers and sister-in-laws Claude and Pauline (Sarris) Smiley, Gene and Mary (Goldshot) Smiley, Glen and Marilyn (Selby) Smiley, and Charles and Wanda (Carter) Smiley and sister-in-law Jeanne (Dee) Smiley, also 3 nephews Chester Jr. and Neal Smiley, and Paul Segovis, 2 nieces Patricia and Jean Carol Smiley and 1 great-niece Carolyn McCartney. Hazel is survived by brother Chester Smiley, 18 nieces and nephews, 24 great-nieces and nephews, and 8 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Hazel worked for the NCR Corporation for 23 years, she worked on several different machines while at NCR and also as an inspector.
The family would like to thank the staff at Livingston Care Center and Crossroads Hospice for all their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crossroads Hospice and Alzheimer's Association. Private services will be held at a later date.
