Hazel Reynolds

December 24, 1921 — April 5, 2020

Hazel Alice Poland-Reynolds, age 98 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020. She was born December 24, 1921 in Powell County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Charlie and Maude Edwards.

In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husbands, including David Poland and James Reynolds.

She is survived by her children, Betty Leet and Charles (Carol) Poland; grandchildren, Lisa Poland and Roy Bruce Leet II; sister, Eunice Mae Estep; special nieces, Marsha Alley, Donna Garnett and Vickie (Clifford) Tuck and other extended family and friends.

Hazel attended school in Kentucky and began working at an early age to support herself and her family. She was employed by Miami Paper as a cutter for 30 plus years retiring in 1985. Hazel enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and reading in her free time. She was a long-time member of Miamisburg Assembly of God and will always be remembered for her strong work ethic, will to live and her love of and generosity for others.

Family will host private services in her honor at Newcomer Funeral Home – KETTERING. Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton will serve as Hazel's final resting place beside her dearly beloved husband. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society at 4540 Cooper Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
