Hazel loved the Lord and was a member of Fairmoor Presbyterian Church and Walnut Heights Baptist Church. She also enjoyed singing in the church choirs and served on the Executive Committee of the East Columbus Christian Women's Club. While in Columbus, she was a volunteer organizer for the American Cancer Society and founded a coupon/refunding club. Hazel and Charles moved to Beavercreek, OH in 1999 where they became active members of Patterson Park Church.
