Hazel Larita"Rita" Getter
July 2, 1931 — January 20, 2015
Hazel LaRita "Rita" Zimmerman-Getter, age 83 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born July 2, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of Francis and Elizabeth Coleman. She was a member of the Bear Creek Church of the Brethren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings; and a son, Ronnie Zimmerman.
Rita is survived by her four Sons, Chip (Mary) Getter, Johnny (Linda) Zimmerman, Steve Zimmerman, and David Zimmerman; nine grandchildren, Brian, Amy, Scott, Mike, Chad, Ryan, Tyler, Nathan, and Brandon; and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439). Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or American Cancer Society.
