Hazel "Faye" Jessee, age 96 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021. She was born March 10, 1925 in Drill, Virginia to the late Arthur and Octavia Martin.
Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister. She was a member of the North Huber Heights Baptist Church. Faye had a generous heart. Known as the "Bag Lady", she provided clothing for needy children for many years. She also worked the election polls for many years. Faye's hobbies included drawing, sewing, painting, poetry and gardening. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Faye will be missed by her loving husband of 70 years, Arnold; children, Deborah Carter, Rhonda (Richard) Hyden, M. Brent Jessee and Katheryn (Paul) Bockelman; eight grandchildren, Collin Long, Erin Malloy, Jeramy Hyden, Amanda Hyden, Morgan Wiebke, Brian Jessee, Jessee Bockelman and Davis Bockelman; ten great grandchildren, Alex, Chris, Brandon, Elizabeth, Whitney, Jordan, Jacob, Ari, Oscar and Zoey; and three great-great grandchildren, Aundraya, Kenzley and Kason; sister, Charlene Hause; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends Friday, June 4, 2021 from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. at the North Huber Heights Baptist Church, 6193 Taylorsville Road, Dayton, Rev. Marvin Engle, officiating. Burial, Casstown Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. Contributions may be made in Faye's memory to a charity of choice.
