Haydee Barba

BARBA (RIVERA), Haydee, age 86, passed away peacefully at home accompanied by her sister, Rita Mojica and daughters on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Rivera and Margarita Santiago and siblings, Raul Rivera and Luz Houston.

Haydee is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Migdalia (Bruce) Tomalinas of Punta Gorda, FL and Blanche (Thomas P.) Casey of Beavercreek, OH; grandchildren, Thomas J., John P., Sean E., Matthew Casey, Dolleen M. Cross, Kimberly Cinoglu and Eric Tomalinas; great grandchildren, Shane and Alyssa Tomalinas, Logan and Leyla Cinoglu, John W., Luke and Kaitlyn Casey and Isabella Casey; 6 siblings, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, other family members, and special friends, Margarita and Ramon Hernandez of Corona, CA.

She moved from her native Puerto Rico to New York to raise a family, then later moved to California where she retired from St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles before coming to Ohio.

Memorial services will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Please make donations to the Hospice of Dayton, in lieu of flowers.
