Haskell Ledbetter, age 79, of Dayton, passed away December 12, 2021. He was born April 29, 1942 in Gainesboro, TN, the 8th child of 14 born to the late Porter and Myrtie Ledbetter. In addition to his parents, Haskell was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ledbetter.
Haskell is survived by his children: Pennie Berry (Ed), Rodney Ledbetter (Tonya), Tracy Ledbetter (Christine) and Teresa Saunders; 8 grandchildren: Bethany, Marisay, Mark, Sierra, Samantha, Cory, Ashley and Jessica; 4 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Haskell worked for the City of Dayton and retired after many years of service. He was passionate about his religion and family was the most important thing in his life. Haskell loved working in his garage and loved nature.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 pm on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm.
