Harvey Lee Bashore, age 84 of Xenia, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024. He was born February 3, 1940 in Eldon, Missouri the son of Harvey and Willa Bashore.
Harvey retired from Chrysler after 30 years and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force as a Military Police Officer. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed metal detecting, flea markets and collecting and restoring old bicycles.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Nellie Dunnington; brothers, Donald and Norman Bashore.
Harvey is survived by his wife of 63 years, Glenna; daughters, Johnna (Kevin Cobb) Barnett and Melody Carroll; 5 grandsons, Ricky (Maggie) Bottom, Shane Bottom, Zachary (Emily) Carroll, Daniel (Alena) Carroll and Jacob Carroll; great grandchildren, Dylan Bottom, Aaron Bottom, Ava Carroll, Noah Carroll, Colton Carroll and Emilia Carroll; and many other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hunter's Helping Heroes in Harvey's honor at PO Box 4547 Milton, FL 32572.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
