Harry F. Sakanashi

SAKANASHI, Harry F. Lt. Col. Ret, U. S. Air Force
age 57 of Miami Township, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2006 at his home. Harry was born November 11, 1949 in San Jose, CA. He served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and the First Gulf War. He held various degrees from San Jose State University, University of Oklahoma, and Ohio State University. Harry loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jan Sakanashi; children, Jen (Tom) Harp; mother, Kiroko Sakanashi; brother, Larry (Tina); sister, Ann (Brent) O'Connor; grandchildren, Kyle, Nate, and Breanna. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Sakanashi and grandson, Cole Adkins. Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
