HOPPE, Harriet Vaughn

Born November 18th 1917, in Dayton, Oh. to Harry and Harriet Miller. She died May 30, 2010 at the Masonic Home in Springfield, Oh. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert, and her sister Ruth Kramer. Harriet was an accomplished musician. She taught piano and organ, was church organist, played in several bands, and shared her talent in many other venues. She was a member of the Dayton musicians union and Church of the Cross UM for over 60 years.

Harriet had 70 years with her husband Bob. They played music together, danced, traveled, and spent much time houseboating on Lake Cumberland. They had a special love, and shared a happy life together. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a loving and caring person, and didn't know a stranger.

Harriet is survived by sons Robert (Mary), Richard (Linda), Kenneth (Pat), and daughter Sharon Taylor (Carl). Also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, sisters Phyllis Jones, and Dorothea Young, many friends, nieces and nephews, and special friend Maureen Hopkins, There will be a private graveside service for the family.
