Harold Sweet, 90, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio.
Harold was born on September 7, 1926 in Winchester, Kentucky to the late Clifford Sweet and Mary Ann Tipton.
In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his sisters, Midge Porter, Geneva Myers, and Delores Sweet, as well as daughter-in-law, Julie Sweet.
He is survived by loving wife of 67 years, Charlene Margaret Sweet; son, Dennis "Denny" Sweet; sister, Leona Shiverdecker, and grandchildren, Andy, Brian, and Megan.
Harold served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from Delco Moraine after 35 years of service.
Family will receive friends on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45459. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church in Harold's honor.
