Harold L. Sturgill

Harold L. Sturgill, lovingly known as "Dick", age 81, of Dayton, passed away on May 2, 2022. He was born in Ironton, Ohio on November 8, 1940 to the late Mabel and Charles Sturgill Sr.
He enjoyed drag-racing in his youth, but he loved operating equipment and driving his truck more than anything. He liked to help others, and he never met a stranger. He loved jokes and was known for his humor. He was a good man, and he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his sons, Richard A. Sturgill ("Dicky") and Randall L. Sturgill.
His memory will be cherished by his beloved wife of almost 64 years, Phyllis Sturgill; children: Pamela (Raymond) Gunn, Ricky Sturgill, Charles (Michelle) Sturgill, and TJ Underwood; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Patty) Sturgill Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30pm. A burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
