Harold Pleiman

Harold Leroy (Albert) Pleiman, age 88, passed away on July 5, 2013. (Known as "Cal" by family and "Flip" by Policemen during his employment (1952-1977))

He was born to the late Leo & Catherine Pleiman, on December 5, 1924.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Marie, his sister Alfreda (& George) Olekas, his brothers Urban (& Millie) Pleiman, and Thomas Pleiman, and sister-in-law Millie Pleiman and brother-in-law Jim Search and 1 great-great-great-grandson (Kyler).

He proudly served his country in the Navy, and then later served as a Dayton, OH Police Officer and retired at rank of Sgt. in 1977. He loved to fish, and play cards and dominos. He was a fun man, and was quite the jokester.

He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Kimberling City, MO and transferred his membership to Saint Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dayton, OH after moving back to Ohio 30 years later from Missouri.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Jean (Nichols) Pleiman, and his children: Deborah (& Michael) Gerlaugh, and Phyllis (& Paul) Morris, along with the girls' mother, Margaret Pleiman, sister Hilda Search, Alice (& Al) Bruder, brother Paul Pleiman, and sister-in-law Ron Pleiman. Harold is survived by grandchildren, Nona (& Dave) Daum, Rachel (& Gary) Lauver, Marie Pleiman, Katrina (& James) Farley, Andrew Leonard and Harold (& Lindsay) Leonard, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-granchildren and 1 great-great-great-grandson, Anthony.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
