Harold Long

LONG, Harold William, age 76, of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Nora Long; brother, James Long; and sister-in-law, Jean Long. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ruth; children, Harold W. Long Jr., Doyle W. Long, Jeffrey P. Long, and Sherri M. Massey; grandchildren, Jeremy Gowan, Nicole Fiore, Michelle Long, Stephanie and Christina Long, Kristen and Ryan Massey; siblings, Hugh J. Long, and Floyd Long; and nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, was a retiree of General Motors after 28 years, and was past President of East Kettering Recreation Club. The family will be having private services. Donations may be made to the VFW, post 9927 in Kettering, OH in Harold's memory.
