Harold E. Whitehead, age 87, of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011.
Harold was an active member of Zion Memorial United Church of Christ for 63 years, where he and Betty were married.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emerson & Clara Whitehead; son, Stephen Whitehead; and brother, Lowell Whitehead.
Harold is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Whitehead; daughter, Deborah (Robert) Beck; son, Gregory (Barbara) Whitehead; daughter-in-law, Terry Whitehead; sister-in-law, Lois Whitehead; grandchildren, Sherri Noah, Brad Beck, Josh, Zach, Molly, Shaun and Scott Whitehead; 10 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 19, 2011 from 11am-1pm at Zion Memorial United Church of Christ. The service will follow at 1pm. Burial will take place at Zion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harold's memory to The Alzheimer's Association or the Zion Memorial Fund.
