Harold C. Flannery

Harold C. Flannery age 81, husband of Margie (Smyth) Flannery of Lebanon, OH, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009. Harold was born in South Shore, Kentucky, September 10 1927 to the late James and Pearl (Duncan) Flannery. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Scott Flannery; 2 brothers, Glenn and Ralph; 3 sisters, Iris, Bernice and Geraldine. He is survived by Margie, his wife of 60 years; son, James Larry Flannery and wife Sue; daughter, Diana Lynn (Flannery) Slack and husband Rod; 2 granddaughters Angela Flannery and Kendra Slack; grandson, Andrew Flannery; 3 sister, Rosemary Smyth, Betty James and Janice Moss; brother, James Clell Flannery; along with many nieces, nephews and friends, especially those of Twin Palms, Florida. Harold was a US Army Veteran of WWII and served in the occupation of Japan. He retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base after 34 years. Visitation to be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Chapel, at 3940 Kettering Blvd, OH, Monday, July 27, 2009 from 5-8pm. The service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties, in Harold's memory.
