Harold Allen Bols 85 passed away May 29, 2009. Fondly known to all as Buck. Buck was preceeded in death by his wife of 53 years Bessie, his parents Winfred and Abbie Barrows Bols, his three brothers Edward, Cloyd, Ralph and his son-in-law Kurt Farmer. Survived by son Robert Bols, daughter Bonnie Farmer, adored granddaughters Libby and Abbey Farmer all of Dayton and niece Suzanne Gililand (Steve) of Ft.Lauderdale FL. Buck served in the Army Air Corps in WWII. He was a radio operator with the 1st Emergency Rescue Squadron in Italy doing search and rescue during D Day. He and his squadron rescued over 400 downed flyers. After the war Buck owned Guarantee Radio for over 40 years. Buck was also a ham radio operator, N8BRX, for many years. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering.
