Harold Edward Blair I, age 95 of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020. He was born January 3, 1925 in South Point, Ohio.
Harold served in the U.S. Army during WWII and re-enlisted during the Korean War where he was wounded. He received many awards, medals and ribbons for his bravery. He retired from the New York City Police Department. Harold was an honest, hard-working, all-around good guy who would help anyone in need.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Rae Dyer; father, William Blair; sisters, Billie Blair, Jean Long, Sue Hughes; and brother, Jerry Dyer.
Harold will be missed by his loving wife, Nellie; son, Harold Blair, II and his mother, Julie; brother, Jack (Pat) Dyer; sister, Anna Louise "Cricket" (Jack) Saunders; and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, services for Harold will be private. Burial will be held at Dayton National Cemetery.
