Harold Ray Bailey Sr.
February 9, 1940 — August 26, 2022
Harold Ray Bailey Sr., age 82, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on August 26, 2022. He was born on February 9, 1940 to the late Archie Bailey and Audra Griesheimer.
He served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy for 6 years and serving in the Seabees for 10 years. He was also a member of Northridge United Baptist Church for many years.
In addition to his parents, Harold Sr. was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Jean Bailey; his sons, Steve Warren and Gary Wayne Bailey; and his brother, Frank Bailey.
He will be remembered by his son, Harold (Lynn) Bailey Jr.; step-son, Wayne (Vicki) Warren; grandchildren: Becky, Kim, Steve, Caleb; siblings: Carol Greene and Beverly Moore; seven great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 9:30am to 10:30am on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 10:30am. Following the service, he will be laid to rest with his wife at Poplar Hills Cemetery.
