During his childhood, Hans traveled Europe in the circus before starting his apprentice ship for mechanical engineering. His love for soccer played a big role in his life, and also impacted many others, as he both played and coached the sport in Germany. His journey began with a chance meeting of his beloved wife, Heidi, in ballroom dancing school in Germany, igniting a lifelong partnership steeped in rhythm and affection. They later married and had a daughter, Sylvia, then moved to the United States where their second daughter, Claudia, was born.

He embarked on a distinguished career, which led to him to move from Germany to Cleveland, Ohio, where he was employed with Heidelberg Eastern. His skills and dedication took him across the United States. He and Heidi settled in Fairfield, Ohio where they lived for over three decades. His entrepreneurial spirit led him and Heidi to establish their own company, H & H Technical Service, through which he manifested his passion for mechanical and electrical engineering. He was unwaveringly proud of his accomplishments and skills acquired from his rigorous education.

Hans was a man who celebrated life through the art of dance and travel. Hans and Heidi's story continued with adventures that took them across the world. Together, they embraced the world through travel and cruises, discovering new horizons and creating lasting memories during numerous scuba diving excursions. The family shared treasured vacations together at Fort Myers Beach, creating a legacy of joy and warmth that spanned generations. Additionally, Hans enjoyed playing golf, relishing every moment spent outdoors.

Hans remained an active participant in various community organizations, contributing his spirit to the Germania Society and Edelweiss Society. He notably held the title of Shooting King for several years and served as Karnival Prince in one memorable year.

Upon retirement, Hans and Heidi made a joyous transition to Punta Gorda, Florida, later calling South Port Square in Port Charlotte their home. There, they became known affectionately as "The Dancers," captivating friends and neighbors alike with their elegant performances during happy hour. Their love story was one of grace and togetherness, a testament to their enduring bond.

In the final years of his life, Hans dedicated himself to caring for the love of his life, Heidi, until her passing on March 29, 2024. His love and commitment to her were profound and unwavering, as he stood by her side through thick and thin.
