Gwendolyn Staton

STATON, Gwendolyn M., age 78, of Dayton, passed away Thurs., July 1, 2004 at Hospice of Dayton after a lenghty illness. She was born Aug. 29, 1925 in Grand Island, NE, was a homemaker and a member of Colorado Ave. Baptist Church. Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her father Jesse Gouldsmith, her mother Helen Denzin and her sister Dory Reynolds. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years,Robert K. Staton; her 6 children Connie (Tom) Dano, Robert C. Staton, Sueanne Moore, Peggy (Jimmie) Miller, Dorothy (John) Dressler and Tracy (Jodi) Staton. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren Barbara (Mike) Cook, Jennifer (Rob) Peirson, Jason Staton (Cheryl, fiance), Stephen (April) Milton, Jeffrey Moore, Christine (Gary) Johnson, Robbie (April) Staton, Andrew Staton and Samantha Staton; 4 great-grandchildren Trey Peirson, Briana and Brandon Milton and Christine Cook; cousin Mildred (Harold) South & family, sister-in-law Ethel Staton, brother-in-law William Staton, brother & sister-in-law Lowell & Bette Staton and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services 10 A.M., Tues., July 6, 2004 at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Pastor Robert W. Newman officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. The family would especially like to thank the staff at Miami Vally Hospital in the Emergency, Intensive Care and 3NE/Pulmonary Units for all their wonderful care.
