Age 68, of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly due to a heart attack on Monday, March 7, 2011.
Gus was preceded in death by his parents, John & Elizabeth (Smittle) Dunkin; and by one granddaughter, Isabella Wagner.
Gus is survived by his wife of the past 34 years, Theresa J. (Fauver) Dunkin; two children, Melissa (Donald) Wagner and David (Emily) Dunkin; one granddaughter, Amarah Wagner; one brother, John (Ruth) Dunkin; one sister, Karen (Fred) Keeney; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Gus was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in Korea. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and will be remembered as "The Mayor of Main Street."
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. The family will be receiving friends from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Gus to his wife, Theresa.
