Guna Ziverts, 88, of Huber Heights, OH, passed away October 11, 2017. Guna was born in Latvia, on October 12, 1928 to Otto and Pauline Unferikts. She married Leonids Ziverts on February 14, 1951 in Pittsburgh, PA.
Guna was an accomplished seamstress who loved sewing, gardening and was an expert on flowers. She was a avid reader and self educator and was a wonderful wife and mother. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Guna is survived by her husband, Leonids; two sons, Andrew Robert (Virginia) and Victor Arthur (Cherie Ellaine) Ziverts; six grandchildren, Andrew Robert, Erica Nicole, Lyndsey Elaine, Haley Danielle and Nicholas Allan Ziverts and Katie Freeman; and two great grandchildren, Kyle and Benjamin. Guna was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Leon John Ziverts; and a sister, Rita Unferikts.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory - North Chapel 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, where a funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm. Burial will follow at a later date at the convenience of the family.
