Gregory Allan Meadows

Gregory A. "Bama" Meadows, age 53 of Beavercreek, passed away on June 2, 2017 due to complications from open heart surgery. He was born at RAF Bentwaters, England in 1964 to Patricia and Melvin Meadows. Gregory graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery, Alabama in 1982. He went on to proudly serve in the United States Air Force from 1983 to 1987. After his honorable service he went on to work in construction for many years. Greg was an avid softball player and played for The Fairborn Funk. He was a caring and kind man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Gregory was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Homer and Talma Thompson; paternal grandparents, Woodrow and Marie Meadows; uncles, Dennis Thompson, Warren Thompson, Howard Thompson, and Robert Orfield; and aunts, Hoda Thompson Orfield and Susie Thompson.

Greg leaves behind to cherish his memory, mother, Patricia Meadows of Beavercreek; father, Mel (Nora) Meadows of Jonesville, MI; brother, Jason (Julie) Meadows of Beavercreek; nieces, Destany (Danny) Eid of Beavercreek, Morgan Meadows of Beavercreek, and Logan Meadows of Beavercreek; one great-niece, Audrey Eid; aunts, Katy Thompson of Alabama, Drema (Jerry) Lowe of West Virginia, Francie Thompson of West Virginia, and Shirley Thompson of West Virginia; wife, Stacey Ferguson; and a host of other cousins, relatives, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel. Visitation to be held for an hour and a half prior (11:30am - 1pm). Internment and military honors to follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
