Gregory Lee "Greg" Greer

Gregory (Greg) Greer, age 68, of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2024, at his home. He was born January 19, 1956, to the late Paul and Opal (Adams) Greer.

In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Sproles.

Greg is survived by his wife Julie (Zakar), sister Paula (Greg) Budge, daughters Elizabeth (Brent) Schmidt and Amy Greer; son Preston Greer, grandchildren Caleb, Jared, Jaylynn & Cody; Great Grandson Jayce; special cousin Robert Jones and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Greg was a graduate of Trotwood High School and attended Wright State University majoring in Psychology. He proudly worked for the United States Postal Service for 29 years, retiring in 2018.

Greg was an avid Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and UD Flyer fan and was constantly talking and texting with his close friends throughout every game. He was a news junkie and loved politics. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, watching movies and all genres of music. But Greg’s family was his greatest love and first priority. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek), where services will begin at 4:00pm with Justin Green officiating.
