Gregory Gibson

Gregory Gibson, "Greg," age 66 of Englewood, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born November 22, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio.

Greg worked at Delphi for 10 years and was most recently employed with Beau Townsend Nissan where he built great relationships with his coworkers and truly enjoyed his job. He enjoyed fishing, being in nature, and watching the birds - especially hummingbirds. He was also an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds. Greg loved doing things for others. He elected to be a tissue donor and was able to help others even in his passing. Greg was a proud husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family and friends immensely.

Greg is survived by his wife of nearly 39 years, Jackie; mother, Mary Madewell; children, Dustin (Jessica) Gibson and Alexandra Gibson; grandson, Daniel Asmerom and his father, Solomon Asmerom; siblings, Mark Gibson, Jon (Rebecca) Gibson, Eric (Kris) Gibson, Jason Madewell, Regina (Robert) Ames; aunt, Clotene (Kenneth) Noel; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; mother-in-law, Freddie (Hollis) Houston; brother-in-law, Donnie (Lisa) Walker; as well as many friends and coworkers.

He is preceded in death by his father, Vaughn and stepmother, Angelita Gibson; and stepfather Gene Madewell.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459). Funeral service will begin at 6:00 pm.
