Gregory Ray Dillon

Gregory Ray "Greg" Dillon, age 31, of Dayton, passed away on August 10, 2023. He was born in Waukegan, Illinois, on November 19, 1991, the son of Rick Dillon and Catherine Dillon.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Herb Dillon and brother, Aaron Mayo.

Greg is survived by his loving father, Rick Dillon; his loving mother, Catherine Dillon; his dear son, Dyson Dillon; grandmother, Darlene Dillon; sister, Amanda Dillon; brother, Jason Mayo; and many other loving family and friends.

Ever since he was a young boy Greg has always walked his own path. In his free time, he enjoyed walking trails, reading, and listening to music; classical was one of his favorites. Greg enjoyed spending time with friends, family, and having meaningful conversations. He was so proud of his son Dyson and was focused on how to build a better life for them both. He had just begun working in the tree service industry. Greg was dedicated and loyal to those he loved. He was naturally inquisitive, very intelligent, and he loved to learn about a variety of topics. He was outgoing, resilient, and advocated his thoughts and beliefs. Greg would always research things before making any important life decisions. He adored the time spent with his family and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.


Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am, on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
