Gregory D. Cheshire, 63, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Grandview Hospital. Gregory was born in Dayton, OH, December 10, 1953 to Orlyn and Barbara (Cheshire) Whittridge.
Gregory enjoyed the outdoors, was a good hearted person, a helpful neighbor and helped his family, especially in their times of need. Greg was a devoted son who took care of his mother for the last eight years of her life. He was a great son, brother and dad, who loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed, especially by his nephew "Jimmy".
Gregory is survived by two daughters Jennifer Best and Melissa Cheshire; a son Brian Cheshire; two brothers Jeffrey D. (Cyndie) Whittridge and David L. (Kim) Whittridge; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio on Thursday March 9, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Vandalia, at the convenience of the family.
