Gregory A. Bane, age 52, of Dayton, passed away January 7, 2022. He was born February 12, 1969 in Dayton, Ohio to the late James and Nichole Bane.
Greg is survived by his wife, Linda Rodgers; children: Briana Mechele, Gregory James and Anna Nichole; step-children: Lashawn (Paul), Latanya and Dion; grandchildren: Reality, Royalty, Prophet, Dejaur, Darion, Shante (Koreco) and Dionna; brothers and sister: Joe, Stan, Rob (Evelyn), Rachel, and Tony (Lisa); nieces and nephews: Nicole, Christina, Shay, Abigail and Levi. Greg is also survived by his beloved dog, Queenie.
Greg was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in special forces as an Army Ranger. He was awarded the Purple Heart during the American invasion of Panama. Greg was a member of the Local Union 1410. He enjoyed fishing, camping and old cars. Greg was also an avid sports fan.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial with military honors will follow at Dayton National Cemetery at 12:30 pm.
