Age 82, of Dayton, passed away, Thursday, May 28, 2009 at VA Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his son Donald Simmons. Gregg served in the US Army in WWII & was a member of the Army Band. Gregg also worked for many years for the Cliff Cab Co & at Lau Blower as a welder. He was a recreational pilot & a Big Band drummer. He is survived by his sons Gregg R. Simmons, Jr., David Simmons, Michael Simmons, & Jeffrey Simmons; grandchildren Jessica Simmons, Holly Simmons & Tyler Simmons, great-grandchild Kylie Thomason; former spouse Violet Pease. Friends may call from 5-7 PM, Monday, June 1 at the Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton.
