Greg Smyth, age 66 of Dayton, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014. He was born on September 7, 1947 in New Orleans, LA to the late Frank J. Sr. and Jeniphor Smyth. Greg was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Smyth.
He is survived by his siblings, Patricia Spodnick, Christopher (Mary) Smyth, Robert Smyth and Jeniphor (Les) Hruska; lifelong friend, Roxanne Martinez; 2 nieces, 4 nephews and numerous extended family and friends.
Greg was a Vietnam Veteran in the U.S. Army and received the Bronze Star Medal along with other badges and medals. He was a devout Catholic and attended Holy Trinity in Dayton.
