HATFIELD, Greeley Sr.
age 87 of Miami Township died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the Dayton Veterans Administration Medical Center, Hospice Unit. Mr. Hatfield was born March 5, 1918 in Jamboree, Kentucky and was a veteran of World War II. He was a retired barber, practicing in Oakwood and a life member of Hammond VFW Post 3438. Mr. Hatfield leaves wife, Rosalee Hatfield and daughter, Susan Hatfield of Miami Township; son, Greeley Hatfield, Jr. and grandson Brian Hatfield of Houston, TX; brother, Everett Hatfield of Orlando, FL; sisters, Bess Elliot of Mayfield, KY, Betty Jo Curtis of Troy, MI, and Magalou Defonzo of Pheps, KY; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special appreciation to nephew and niece Jeff and Shirley Coleman of Pheps, KY and great-nephew, David Hatfield of Troy, OH. Family will receive friends 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday with interment following in Dayton National Cemetery.
