Glynda A. Finister

Glynda A. Finister was born on October 8, 1957, to C. D. and Delois Finister. Glynda was a determined child to succeed all her endeavors in life, from learning to swim to landing a successful career. Most of all, Glynda liked having fun. Glynda graduated from Patterson Cooperative High School in 1975, and went on to graduate from the Ohio State University in 1980, where she dual majored in Real Estate and Finance.

Glynda entered the United States Air Force (1980-1984) and was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base. Shortly after she landed her first professional job in Denver, Colorado, transferring to Columbia, Maryland; Los Angeles, California and settling in Beavercreek, Ohio, where she was close to family and friends. Glynda finished her career as a Data Analysis for a local contractor at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

She is preceded in death by father, C.D. Finister and mother, Delois Finister.

She is survived by siblings, Ismail (Roxanne) Muhammad, Doris M. (Terrance) Randleman, Brenda A. Finister and Charles D. Finister. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, life long friends, Ricky Ford and sister, Vicky. Glynda's family will miss her sorely, but believe her pain is no more.


Visitation will be held from 2:00pm-3:00pm, on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, where a Celebration of her Life will begin at 3:00pm, with Elder James Brown officiating.
