Gloria Jean Martin

Gloria Jean Martin, age 76, of Riverside, passed away August 10, 2020. She was born in Ironton, Ohio, on October 28, 1943, the daughter of the late Milton and Thelma Row.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Fred Martin, Jr.; and her great granddaughter, Abigail Ball.

Gloria is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Jeff) Lucas, Peggy Ullery and Vickie (Brion) Shipley; grandchildren, Jason Lucas, Jessica (R.J.) Ball, Tyler Ullery and Dylan Shipley; great grandchildren, Chase Damron, Makinsey Damron, Sean Lucas, Avery Lucas, Colt Ball and Wyatt Ball; sister, Linda Hale; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In her free time, she adored spending time with her great grandbabies and family. Gloria loved to watch all of the great grandkids sporting events, she was their biggest fan. She had a heart of gold and never knew a stranger. She may have been quiet when she first met you, but she would quickly warm up and treat everyone as family. Every kid became her "Grandkid".

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm on Friday, August 14, 2020, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where services will begin at 4:00 pm. Burial will take place at Lackey Cemetery Memorials in Floyd County, KY.

Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
